How to choose your CBD product
Step 1: Pick your CBD content and strength
The CBD content is always specified in the product description and highlighted in a red circle above each product’s image.
The CBD strength is often given as milligrams (mg) or a percentage. If it’s a percentage, you also need to consider the product’s volume. For example, a 10ml bottle labelled as 10% CBD contains 1000mg of CBD.
Step 2: Choose the type
Choose between ‘full-spectrum’, ‘broad-spectrum’, or ‘isolate’. Full-spectrum contains all cannabinoids, including traces of THC, and is often found to be more effective. That’s why most of the products in our range are full-spectrum. Broad-spectrum contains a range of cannabinoids but no THC. Isolate contains only CBD.
Step 3: Choose the product form
Consider where and how you’ll use the CBD product. For precise dosage and home use, opt for oil with a dropper. For convenience and higher servings on the go, a spray or capsules and gummies would be more suitable.
The seven main types of CBD products are:
CBD oils and sprays: A blend of CBD-rich hemp extract and a carrier oil. It’s versatile, easy to use and comes with a dropper or spray for sublingual application.
CBD pastes: A thick substance containing hemp extract, a carrier oil, and often beeswax. It comes preloaded in a syringe for precise dosing.
CBD teas: A blend of dried hemp flowers, buds, stems, and leaves. It contains higher levels of CBDa, CBD’s precursor.
CBD topicals: CBD-infused creams, balms, and ointments for direct application to the skin.
CBD capsules: Convenient for precise dosing. They are flavorless and perfect for on-the-go use.
CBD vapes/e-liquids: Designed for vaporising and inhaling, ensuring CBD reaches your bloodstream quickly.
CBD gummies and sweets: A tasty and enjoyable way to consume CBD, though they often contain added sugar.
Quick tips:
Products can be combined for efficiency, e.g., CBD drops/paste and hemp tea, providing a wider range of cannabinoids. Explore our product categories for guidance on each.
Start with a small amount, such as 10mg twice a day, and adjust based on your response.
Don’t exceed 70mg per day, as per UK guidelines.
