Curaderm BEC5 skin cream 20ml
Curaderm BEC5 is a regenerating skin cream for topical application on skin lesions. Curaderm was formulated by biochemist Dr Bill Cham, who has been researching glycoalkaloids and the topical application of the Devil’s Apple in his native Vanuatu and at the University of Queensland since the late 1970s and is still active today.
BEC5 contains ingredients selected to target damaged skin, support healing and revitalise dry areas. Curaderm cream harnesses the power of BEC5 eggplant extract (solasodine glycosides) and can be applied directly to the problem area.
Curaderm BEC5 ingredients
Solasodine Glycosides (BEC5) – a natural alkaloid compound found in plants including the Devil’s Apple and the eggplant (aubergine). In numerous studies, it has been found to target damaged skin cells and not the healthy cells.
Salicyclic Acid – a beta-hydroxy acid that acts as an exfoliant on skin. It cleans out the insides of pores which reduces blemishes and prevents further infection or breakout.
Urea – an organic compound which is used to soothe dry skin and help damaged skin to heal by removing dead cells.

The Curaderm story
Curaderm Global is a skincare company located 1090 miles east of Australia, on the Pacific island of Vanuatu. Founded by Dr Bill Cham, he is a medical doctor with a background in biochemistry. Curaderm produces skin creams based on his research into the properties of Solasodine Glycosides.
It all began when he was told about an Australian home remedy used to treat facial tumours in cattle. The incredible properties of the Devil’s apple were first noticed when cows were seen rubbing their faces against the plant. Farmers realised that the cows doing this were those who previously had lumps or lesions around their mouths or eyes. The growths seemed to shrink or disappear after contact with the plant.
A research team was assembled to find out why soon Dr Cham discovered the specific molecule responsible and began to create products that could harness its properties for humans. He named it Bill Edward Cham 5 (BEC5) and it now forms the basis of the Curaderm Global product range.
